On October 7, 2026, Honolulu City Council approved the conceptual plan under Resolution 26-171 CD1. In September, the applicant had requested a 90-day extension to the review period.

This is progress through the planning process. Detailed plans and additional approvals are still needed before construction.

The proposed project

Official materials describe a residential and hotel development at Ala Moana Boulevard and Atkinson Drive, on the Macy’s parking site. The proposal includes 136 market-rate condominiums, 69 affordable rentals and 294 hotel units.

The residential and hotel buildings are distinct parts of a mixed-use plan. Branding, services and final specifications should be checked as details are released.
